Standing Oak Ranch
Our Horses
Rascal
Rascal is one of our veteran horses that gives lessons. He was Christina's personal 4H horse when she was a youth and helped several other 4H kids start with their show careers. He is laid back and enjoys lots of brushing!
Pearl
Pearl is a cute pony that teaches some of our smallest riders the basics. She is trained to follow an adult when the little ones are on her back but will ride out once they learn the basics.
Marshmallow
Marshmallow is one of our minis. He is Lilly's personal mini but we occasionally bring him out for lessons for our little riders to help them learn with a horse that is a little closer to their height.
Vinnie
Vinnie is another mini that we own. He is Sylar's 4H mini. He is a spunky guy who loves treats!
Holly
Holly is a beautiful bay mare out of our stallion, Harley. She was born on Sylar's birthday and will be his 4H horse when he gets older. Until then, she is being used for our intermediate and advanced riders during lessons.
Honey
Honey is an amazing lesson pony who is on loan to us from a previous 4H member and her grandmother. Honey is worth her weight in gold and is patient with our newest riders! She has been on the 4H drill team, shown western pleasure, and ranch pleasure. In 2023, she was on the drill team and took 1st in all of her ranch horse riding classes at the Kentucky State 4H Horse Show!
Trixie
Trixie is a registered Quarter Horse mare who is actually pony sized! She is great challenge for our intermediate and advanced riders. Trixie competed in the 2023 4H Drill Team Competition.
Scout
Scout is a pony that we are working to integrate into our lesson program. He is coming along and we have been letting some of our intermediate and advanced riders take some lessons on him. Scout has also been a back up Drill Team horse for practices.
Apache
Apache is one of our lesson horses and broodmares. She was previously a trail horse who has settled in nicely at our farm. She competed in the 2023 4H Drill Team competition.
Other Horses
We have other horses at our farm and will be adding photos and information on them over time. Keep checking back to see the updates!
